The jury in the trial of a Suffolk mechanic accused of sexually assaulting a teenager is expected to continue its deliberations tomorrow.

Before Ipswich Crown Court is Ross Leeks, 39, of Hillside, Combs Ford, who has denied three offences of sexual assault and one offence of sexual activity with a child.

The jury has retired to consider its verdicts and will continue its discussions tomorrow.

Giving evidence during his three day trial Leeks admitted “playfully” tweaking one of the girl’s nipples over her clothing while they were messing around.

Leeks said the girl had done something similar to him and when he did the same thing to her she had been good humoured about it and had “whacked” him.

He denied there was any sexual motivation for what he did.

He admitted touching her breast inappropriately on another occasion while he was trying to stand up but claimed she was lying when she said he had touched her between the legs.

In a video recorded interview played to the court the alleged victim described being “frozen with fear” when she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Leeks.
