BIRMINGHAM Speedway have unveiled Elite League title winner Krzysztof Kasprzak as their new number one rider.
Kasprzak, 26, won the title with Coventry in one of the most dramatic pieces of sporting drama last October.
Now he will lead the Brummies into an exciting new era of Elite League racing where he links up with other confirmed signings Rene Bach and Danny King.
He said: “I am very excited about this new opportunity for me in British racing and I am very proud to be joining Birmingham.
“I am aware of the name the club has within the sport and I have been told what a good track Birmingham have so I am very much looking forward to riding there.
“It’s a proud moment for me to be their new number one and I look forward to coming over and meeting the Birmingham fans. It’s a very exciting opportunity and a big challenge for me to lead them into the Elite League.
“I very much enjoyed winning the league title with Coventry and it would be nice if we could bring some success to Birmingham.”
