A new date has been set for the court appearance of a man charged with driving offences following a fatal collision in Kirby Cross, Essex.
Darren Kettley, 46, from Porters Avenue, Dagenham, was the driver of a Volvo tipper truck which was in collision with a Suzuki Swift car on Frinton Road on December 12. Charles Mayes, 95, died at the scene.
Mr Kettley has now been charged with drink driving, failing to stop and failing to keep driver’s records. He has been released on police bail to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on July 3.
