A LOCAL glamour model has added a touch of spice to her local football side's march to the FA Vase final by posing for a set of racy pictures dressed in little more than the team's colours.

Fans of AFC Sudbury could be excused for getting a bit hot under the collar after seeing the pictures of up and coming model Kirsty Swain, 23, go on display in the window of a town centre hairdressers where she works part-time.

Miss Swain, of Great Waldingfield, agreed to pose for the pictures in a bid to spur on the Sudbury team to victory when they appear in the final against Brigg Town at Upton Park on May 10.

In addition to her rising modelling career Miss Swain also works time part-time at Ian's Barber Shop in Sudbury's North Street, which is an official ticket outlet for the big game.

Her boss Ian Hall is one of AFC's biggest fans and it is that link that persuaded her to do the pictures.

Through her contacts in the modelling world she has now posed for a series of saucy pictures wearing the colours of AFC Sudbury and West Ham, who play at Upton Park.

She also posed for the EADT in the window of the Sudbury hairdressers wearing an AFC Sudbury shirt.

Miss Swain said: "It is good for the town that the team has got to the final and I agreed to do the pictures for a bit of fun. I go to some of the home games with Ian so I do support the team. I am going to the final where I will wear the team shirt and yellow and blue ribbons, I have also got my pom poms ready."

Miss Swain has another reason for getting behind the team. Her father Phil Swain used to play for Sudbury Wanderers, who merged with Sudbury Town to form AFC Sudbury four years ago.

"When I was a little girl I used to go and watch my Dad play and grew up watching the team, so I have quite a big interest in what happens," she said.

Recently Miss Swain's five year modelling career has really begun to take off. She is a regular pin-up for car magazines Max Power and Revs and has also appeared in the Daily Star newspaper.

She has also done photo shoots for cosmetic giants L'Oreal and recently appeared on the UK Uncovered programme screened on Sky TV.

A string of other top glamour magazines have also featured Miss Swain's pictures and she has also appeared on Sky's Fantasy Channel.

Her ambition is to become a regular national newspaper pin-up and to break into more television work.

But for the time being Miss Swain has put her modelling ambitions aside to concentrate on supporting her local football favourites.

"I can't wait until the final, were are going to win, Brigg Town have absolutely no chance," she added.
