Firefighters tackled a flat blaze in north-east Essex on Thursday night.
The fire broke out in a kitchen of a ground floor flat High Street North, West Mersea at 8pm.
Two fire engines attended and the blaze was put out by 8.20pm.
No-one was injured, an Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said.
He added: “We have no information relating to the cause at this stage.”
