An emergency rescue crew was alerted to a kite surfer in difficulty yesterday afternoon.
Harwich RNLI’s inshore lifeboat was despatched at about 4.15pm to help the kite surfer who had problems with his rig in the River Stour at Holbrook Bay.
The surfer had made it to shore unassisted by the time the crew arrived.
