A man has been charged with burglary, possession of a knife and six counts of theft from shops following incidents in Clacton.
Paul Taylor, 44, of Waldegrave Way, Lawford, is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today.
The charge follows reports of an attempted knife-point robbery in Hadleigh Road around 4pm on Monday, April 16, and a burglary in Edith Road around midday on Wednesday, April 18.
He was also charged with theft from businesses in Clacton.
Four were reported over two days from Monday, February 19, and the other two took place on Saturday, February 10, and Monday, August 21 last year.
