A 24-year-old man has been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and with possession of cannabis with intent to supply after a vehicle was stopped in Carr Avenue in Leiston on Wednesday 14 August.

Dale Hawkins, of Carr Avenue, was arrested after police stopped a VW Golf around 8.45pm that evening and carried out a search of the occupants.

A quantity of cannabis, several hundred pounds in cash and a mobile phone were seized. Police then carried out a search at an address and found further drugs and associated paraphernalia.

Following an investigation into the finds Dale Hawkins was charged with the two drugs offences and he is now due to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, Tuesday 15 October.
