Work will continue on the Ewell Bridge in Essex and there will be several closures on the A14 in Suffolk from the week beginning August 7.

The northbound carriageway of the A12 will be shut overnight in Kelvedon this week while Ewell Bridge, a damaged pedestrian bridge, above the road is repaired. This is one of several roadwork projects set to be carried out by Highways England between August 7 and 13.

Here is a full list of the planned schemes in this area, and what impact they will have on drivers:

A clearly signed diversion route will always be in place for closures. The work includes:

Installing access points to our construction compounds

Taking core samples of the existing A1 and A14 carriageways to help us plan construction
