A road has been re-opened in west Suffolk after a fallen tree caught a live power cable.
Police were called to the incident in Upper Road, Little Cornard, near Sudbury, at 10.20am.
It is said that a tree had fallen which caught an overhead cable, prompting safety fears.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said officers were awaiting the arrival of UK Power Networks to make the scene safe.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks, who are in charge of the network, said: “UK Power Networks engineers worked as quickly and safely as possible to trim a fallen tree where it was leaning on an overhead line in Little Cornard.
“No customers lost power as a result of this incident and the work was completed by 1.30pm.”
