A lane of the A12 has been cleared after a collision between two cars led to congestion.
The crash happened just before 6pm on the London bound road at East Bergholt.
Police said two vehicles were involved and that the wreckage blocked one lane of the road.
No one was hurt in the crash, between a green Seat Ibiza and a silver Mercedes 180.
The road was clear by 6.30pm.
