A POLICE officer and police community support officer have been stabbed in a street attack.
Reports said the uniformed officers suffered head injuries in Ealing, west London.
The incident, which happened in Ealing Broadway, is thought to have seen the officers injured in a scuffle with a man in the busy shopping area.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the Pc and PCSO have been taken to hospital by ambulance.
He said the PCSO is believed to have suffered non-life threatening injuries but the Pc may be more seriously wounded.
The spokesman said the attack took place after a “police stop”, which could mean the officers were trying to stop and search the man.
The suspected attacker has been arrested.
