Firefighters have tackled two chimney fires, one in Long Melford, the other in Lowestoft.
The first was reported at a property in New Road, Long Melford at just before 5pm on Thursday.
One crew from the village and a second from Sudbury were sent to the scene and had the blaze out within 20 minutes.
They returned to their respective stations by 5.25pm.
The second incident - at a property in Stradbroke Road, Lowestoft - was called in to the fire service at 7.10pm.
One appliance from Lowestoft South fire station went to the scene.
A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews found the chimney well alight and used a nine-metre ladder, a roof ladder, a hose reel and ‘working at height’ equipment to bring the incident under control at 7.48pm. The appliance was back at station by 8.02pm.”
