A man has pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention after the lorry he was driving crashed in to a brick wall and a house in Suffolk.
The lorry driver’s vehicle struck a building at the junction of Mill Road and The Street in Woolpit around 9.20am on March 4, causing the road to be closed for most of the day.
Neculai Slabu, aged 23, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of careless driving and was subsequently charged.
He appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was given one day’s detention, three penalty points on his driving licence and was fined £60. He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim’s surcharge.
