Lowestoft: Bascule bridge gets stuck open as many begin their morning commute

Traffic in Lowestoft is returning to normal after a problem with the Bascule bridge.

It had become stuck in the open position and was causing a few problems for motorists at the start of the morning rush.

Anyone wanting to cross Lake Lothing instead had to travel to Oulton Broad and use the A1117.

However the problem has now been fixed and traffic in the town is easing.
