Firefighters were this morning called to two car fires that broke out only a few hundred metres apart.

The first started in Uggeshall Close, Lowestoft, just before 7.15am but was already out when crews from Lowestoft South and North Lowestoft arrived at the scene.

A few minutes later another car fire was reported at a car park in nearby Westhall Road. This time a Lowestoft South crew attended but again the blaze was already out.

Just after 8am, another car fire broke out in Southfield Gardens. Again, firefighters were only required to inspect the vehicle as the flames had been extinguished before they arrived.
