Firefighters in Essex were sent to a house blaze near Maldon this morning.
Two crews from Maldon and one from Witham attended the incident in Limbourne Drive, Heybridge, at 7.10am.
The fire affected a detached property and the incident commander on scene reported that the roof of the house was completely alight.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to bring the blaze under control – it was extinguished just before 8.30am.
