Police have made an arrest
A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after an incident in Chelmsford.
The 35-year-old man from Chelmsford was arrested in Barrack Square after being seen on CCTV assaulting another man with a bottle, near Shire Hall in High Street at around 3.25am.
The 22-year-old man who was assaulted suffered facial injuries in the attack.
CCTV operators helped Essex police officers to make the arrest.
The arrested man remains in police custody this morning for questioning.
