A MAN arrested on suspicion of murdering a pensioner from Eye has today been released on bail.
A 74-year-old man was found collapsed on Saturday morning at his home in Park Lane, on the outskirts of the town.
He was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital but later pronounced dead.
Post mortem results on the body of the man, named locally as retired thatcher Richard Clark, revealed he had sustained a head injury but Suffolk Police said further tests are being carried out to determine a cause of death.
A 42-year-old local man was arrested on Saturday and questioned by police but has since been released on bail until October 12.
Officers are renewing their appeal for anybody who was in the area on Friday evening or Saturday morning to come forward.
