Man arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after Mercedes hits telegraph pole

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after his car was involved in a collision with telegraph pole.

The crash happened in Westwood Avenue, Lowestoft, around 11.40pm.

A black Mercedes crashed into a telegraph pole and the driver and front seat passenger sustained minor injuries.

The driver was later arrested in the first few minutes of Christmas Day by police at the scene.

The ambulance service attended.
