A MAN was attacked by five masked men who broke into his home and hit him round the head.
The terrifying incident happened at a house in Priory Street, Colchester, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police said the group stole property including two guitars and a Playstation 3, as well as the 32-year-old victim's motorbike.
The injured man was taken to Colchester General Hospital with head injuries and was discharged after treatment.
Detective constable Richard Edwards, of Colchester police, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Priory Street area in the early hours of yesterday morning or who has any information about this group of men.”
