A 34-year-old man arrested in connection with two sexual assaults on young girls has been released on police bail.
The man, from Barrow, near Bury St Edmunds, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old girl in the town.
The 10-year-old was assaulted in WH Smith, on the Cornhill, and the 12-year-old was assaulted at the Warehouse Clearance Superstore, in Anglian Lane.
Both attacks happened just over an hour apart last Tuesday as the girls were out shopping with their families.
The 34-year-old, who was arrested yesterday afternoon, was quizzed by detectives over night and has been bailed to return to Bury police station tomorrow. Anyone with information about the assaults should call DS Andy Smith on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
