Man charged with arson after house fire

A MAN has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life following an incident at a house in Suffolk in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Anthony Whyman, 42, of Hutton Court, Eye, has been remanded in custody and will appear before magistrates in Bury St Edmunds this afternoon.

A fire in the porch of a three-storey home in Hutton Court saw several neighbours evacuated from their properties on Saturday afternoon.

A man was later treated in hospital for serious burns, but was released earlier today.
