A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was wounded following an incident in Lowestoft.
Sadek Chowdhury, 38, of Cambridge Road, Lowestoft, has been remanded in police custody and will appear before Lowestoft Magistrates on Monday November 23.
He has been charged in connection with an incident which happened in Cambridge Road, Lowestoft, in the early hours of yesterday morning in which a 47-year-old woman suffered stomach wounds.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said the injured woman, who has not been named, was taken to the James Paget Hospital, Gorleston, where she underwent surgery. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
