DETECTIVES are hunting an intruder who stole cash from a Suffolk house before he was confronted in the kitchen by the homeowner.

DETECTIVES are hunting an intruder who stole cash from a Suffolk house before he was confronted in the kitchen by the homeowner.
The man, who is said to be of southern European appearance, ran from the home in Chalk Road South, Bury St Edmunds, fleeing the scene on a mountain bike.
The owner of the property then found money had been stolen in the burglary which took place between 4.40pm and 4.50pm on Saturday.
The man, who was seen cycling off towards Risbygate Street, has been described as white, about 25 years old and 6ft 1ins tall. He was wearing a light-coloured camouflage baseball cap, a light-coloured jacket and dark trousers and carrying a rucksack.
