THE Health and Safety Executive has launched an investigation after a north Essex man was crushed to death by a car transporter.
Firefighters were called to an industrial estate in Great Dunmow shortly before 9.30am yesterdayafter reports that a man was trapped under a lorry, but when they arrived they found he had already been released.
The man, who has not yet been named, was taken by ambulance from the Hoblongs industrial estate in Great Dunmow to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, where he later died.
