A MAN was flown to hospital following an accident on a promenade.
The East of England Ambulance Service was called to Marine Parade in Harwich yesterday to reports that a middle-aged man had fallen.
The call came in at just before 2.05pm, and a land crew and the Essex Air Ambulance attended.
Aircrew paramedic Laurie Phillipson said: "It appeared the 51-year-old local man had fallen from the promenade onto the concrete below.
“We suspected he'd suffered a head injury, and once he was made as comfortable as possible we flew him into Queen's Hospital, Romford, which specialises in head trauma.”
