FIREFIGHTERS were called to help a man who became trapped in mud this evening.
The man, in his early 30s, became trapped in mud in The Hive, Colchester, at about 8pm.
Two crews from the town were sent to the incident but the man had been released before crews arrived. An ambulance was called to the scene as the man was believed to be suffering with the cold and possible injuries.
