A MAN has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with an arson attack in Eye.
Anthony Whyman, 42, of Hutton Court, Eye, appeared before magistrates in Bury St Edmunds this afternoon charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
He was remanded in custody until a further hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on March 11.
The fire in the porch of a three-storey building saw seven neighbours evacuated from their properties before being allowed back into their homes at about 5am on Sunday.
