A man in his early 20s was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital following a road accident in Halstead last night.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance worked with Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust, East of England Ambulance Service and Essex Police on the scene of the collision which saw multiple casualties.
Dr Tim Lightfoot and critical-care paramedic Tim Daniels treated the patient at the scene before airlifting him to the Cambridge hospital.
A spokesman from East Anglian Air Ambulance said the man was in a life-threatening condition.
