A MAN has been taken to hospital after a single vehicle crash which saw his car collide with a tree.
The motorist had to be freed from his blue Ford Cougar car by fire crews following the collision on the A1088 in Euston, near Bury St Edmunds.
He was then taken to hospital although police were unable to confirm what his injuries were.
Police from Suffolk and Norfolk combined on scene to close off a stretch of the A1088 for the wreckage to be shifted.
Fire crews from Ixworth and Thetford attended the incident, which happened at about 11am. A spokesman for Suffolk Fire Service said the man, believed to be in his late 40s, had been trapped in the vehicle and was only freed with the use of hydraulic rescue equipment.
