FIRE crews rescued a man from a burning flat in Ipswich town centre.
Three fire engines attended a ground floor flat in Little Gipping Street at 3.33am this morning.
On arrival they found the property well alight and removed one male from the building, which measured 8m by 8m.
Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to tackle the flames.
The blaze was extinguished at 4.14am.
