A man has been rescued from mud in the area of the Orwell Bridge in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police, the fire service and the Felixstowe coastguard rescue team attended the scene after the report came in at 4.14am.
The Felixstowe team used their specialist equipment and trained officers to assist the fire service in removing the casualty from the mud.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
