A CAR passenger was taken to hospital after the vehicle he was travelling in hit a cottage.
The incident happened at around 1am today in Butchers Shop Plantation Road, Boreham, in Essex.
Fire crews from Baddow, Chelmsford and Colchester were called following reports that a vehicle had left the road and hit a cottage.
The three male occupants of the vehicle were already out when firefighters arrived at the scene.
One received medical attention at the scene and was later taken to hospital by ambulance.
A structural engineers and an advisor from Urban Search and Rescue team (USAR) were requested to attend the incident to inspect the structure of the building.
No action was taken by the USAR crews.
