A RESCUE operation was launched after a man was apparently threatening to jump from the Orwell Bridge.
Suffolk Police received numerous calls about a man who appeared as though he was going to jump from the bridge yesterday at 1.45pm. Harwich RNLI Inshore Lifeboat, Felixstowe and Holbrook Coastguard teams along with Suffolk Police all attended the scene.
Suffolk Police managed to stop the man and the lifeboat and coastguard teams were stood down.
