WITH the Virgin London Marathon fast approaching, runners are beginning to feel the burn from the long training runs.

We asked you for your words of encouragement to help spur your friends and relatives on as they near the end of their long training regimes.

Your words of support have been submitted via our online message board on our marathon feature page.

Messages submitted so far include one to Gregory Pryke: ”Good Luck to Gregory Pryke!! You can do it!!! x”

Proud parents sent this message to a duo of runners: ““Good luck Ben and Georgie, I know you can do it and Royce will be with you every step of the way! Love Mum and Dad xx”

Another message reads: “Good luck Kayleigh Read, lots of love, we will be cheering you on Nana and Granddad Spain x x x”

There is still time to submit your messages of support, visit our marathon page now. Or if you are running the marathon, email natalie.hoodless@archant.co.uk to share your story.
