Firefighters were called out on Thursday afternoon following reports of a pleasure boat on fire in Martlesham.
The alarm was raised at 2.10pm after a fire was reported in the engine room of the 50ft vessel – the boat became heavily smoke-logged as a result.
Crews from Woodbridge, Ipswich and a water incident vehicle from Ipswich were all sent to the scene, in Church lane, Martlesham.
One hose reel was used to extinguish the blaze just after 2.50pm.
