FIREFIGHTERS were called out to reports of heath fires today following a huge blaze.
Crews from Colchester Road were called out at 12.50am today to Eagle Way in Martlesham to a 20 square metre area well alight, and put out the flames by 2.30am.
But at 10.30am, another call came in from nearby Heathfields of a small area of heath alight.
These come after a massive heath blaze yesterday which needed six fire pumps and a water bowser to get the flames under control.
