AN Ipswich man is among four suspects arrested in connection with a robbery at a jeweller's shop in Frinton, police said today.

Members of staff were threatened when three men wearing balaclavas entered the shop in Connaught Avenue about 11am yesterday. Items worth more than �20,000 were taken in the robbery.

Three men were stopped by police in Colchester town centre yesterday afternoon and were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They were a 19-year-old from Loughton, a 21-year-old from Ipswich and a 19-year-old from Colchester.

Later, a 23-year-old man from Colchester was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All four men are currently in custody at Clacton and are being questioned by detectives.
