MILDENHALL legend Jon Armstrong showed the fans that he still knows the quickest way around West Row with a blistering four rides dropping only one point to visiting star Danny Warwick in an eleven point haul.

The “Mighty Midget” such a folk hero to Mildenhall folk produced his party piece in his second ride powering from third to first in a couple of laps blasting past Islander and former Fen Tiger Ben Hopwood in Heat 6.

Armstrong said “I love riding here and it was great to get the guest booking and after today I may get a few more, my form has just clicked over the past couple of weeks and I have just been flying lately.”

It was not just Armstrong however hitting double figures as Luke Priest turned in his best performance of the season and with Captain Barrie Evans impressive with a big paid 14 score the result was never in doubt but the Islanders kept the home team honest with Warwick and Hopwood always in the thick of the action.

Mildenhall are next in action at Buxton on Sunday 18th July and their next home fixture is against the same opponents on August 1st.
