A talented Suffolk student has reached the junior’s final of a computer science competition at the University of Oxford.
Chloe Palmer, 12, who attends Mildenhall College Academy, was invited to the prestigious university to take part in The UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge in February.
She was in the top 60 students in her age group, with 59,804 pupils entering the first round.
Chloe said: “The challenge was quite difficult but was still fun to complete. This has been a great experience for me.
“While I was there, I attended some interesting presentations which each taught me something new.”
The UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge, supported by Google, is designed to get students excited about computing and computational thinking. It is a problem-solving contest with questions inspired by topics in computer science.
