The chain which still has locations in Ipswich, Clacton and Chelmsford is set to announce which of its 50 stores will be closing tomorrow morning.
Mothercare announced earlier this week that it would finalising a comprehensive restructuring and refinancing as it tried to make the business more stable.
In a statement earlier this week, the retailer said: “Mothercare announces that it is now finalising a comprehensive restructuring and refinancing package to put the business on a stable and sustainable financial footing.
“We are in the final stages of detailing these restructuring plans alongside new committed debt facilities, an underwritten equity issue and access to other sources of capital which we intend to announce with our final results.”
It’s not known whether the Ipswich store at Copdock, the Clacton store on Pier Avenue or the Chelmsford store in the Meadows Shopping Centre will be affected by the new closures.
