A 49-year-old motorcyclist who died following a collision in Great Braxted on Great Braxted Park Road has been named as Steven Emsden' of Cromwell Road, Colchester.
The driver of a green Ford Transit van involved in the crash has been released on police bail after being arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
The accident happened shortly before 8.30am on Friday.
