A MOTORIST was killed tonight when his car overturned and crashed into a tree.The accident happened at about 7pm in Rushford Road, Coney Weston, near Stanton.
A MOTORIST was killed tonight when his car overturned and crashed into a tree.
The accident happened at about 7pm in Rushford Road, Coney Weston, near Stanton.
The road was blocked for more than three hours while emergency services cleared the scene.
A police spokesman said: “We were called by a member of the public to a single vehicle accident. The car left the road, went on to its side and hit a tree.
“One person was inside the vehicle.”
Fire crews spent about an hour freeing the deceased man from the silver Vauxhall Vectra using cutting equipment.
No details of his identity have been released.
