A man was brutally mugged in Sudbury last night while walking home.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the robbery, involving two criminals, happened in an alleyway between York Road and Acton Lane happened at about 6.20pm.
The victim, in his 30s, was pushing his pit bike along the alleyway when he noticed a man on a mountain bike was blocking his exit.
The suspect damanded the victim hand him all his money, but when the victim refuesed, the suspect pulled his helmet off and began beating the man in the face, breaking his nose.
The suspect was making threats as he attacked the victim and eventually, he pinned the victim down on the ground and made a phone call to someone on his own mobile phone and told the person where he was.
A second man then appeared with a staffie type dog and stole the victims bike, a black and red Demon X Stomp.
The first suspect got back on his mountain bike with the dog and left the scene.
Suffolk police believe there may have been passers-by who saw the incident and they are asking that anyone with information contact them immediately on 101 quoting crime reference 37/6486/18 or call Crimestoppers annonymously on 0800 555111.
