A MAN is this morning due to appear in court on his birthday, charged with the murder of a woman in Ipswich.
The woman, thought to be Malgorzata Lipinska, was found dead on Friday in the communal stairway of a block of flats in Duke Street.
A post-mortem examination found that the 38-year-old, also known as Gosia, of Duke Street, had suffered multiple injuries.
Mariusz Lipinski, of no fixed address, who is 38 today, was charged with murder last night after being arrested at around 5.30pm on Friday.
He is due to appear before magistrates in the town this morning.
