TikTok is no stranger to a fun and frivolous trend and the personality colour test is no exception. 

Internet trends come and go and it seems one particular quiz is still sparking curiosity on the popular video app. 

The viral quiz created by the South Korean company KTestOne is the sweet and silly game we didn't know we needed.

How to play the Personality Colour Test 

The premise of the quirky game with its retro feel and Microsoft Paint like style is fairly straight forward. 

You simply need to answer 12 seemingly random and unrelated questions. 

The questions cover everything from what you prefer to do at the weekends to how you react when you're angry. 

Once you've worked out the questions and their personality-probing answers, the quiz generates your colour and a description to go with it.

Although the questions appear a little cryptic and difficult to follow at times, they're not random at all.

The questions apparently originate from the 1998 'True Colours' personality profiling system created by Don Lowry, according to Hashtag Hyena.

The theory outlines that "everyone’s personality is a combination of all four colours – blue, orange, green, and gold.

Users are supposed to gain a better understanding and insight into their personalities from completing the test.

Under Don Lory's theory, your two dominant colors convey the core of your temperament.

If you had a green personality, you are an independent thinker.

Meanwhile, gold personalities are pragmatic, orange is action-orientated and blue represents individuals who are people-orientated.

Looking at the KTestOne quiz, users can receive a range of colours including serulian, doeny and vanilla ice among others.

The quiz then explains your results by breaking down your personality traits with all your positives and perhaps less flattering traits as well as what other colour personalities will compliment you.

Since the quiz took TikTok by storm, users have been sharing their results across social media platforms.

One person shared on Twitter: "i did a colour personality test and it was so freaking accurate im shocked."

Another fan shared: "spreading the colour personality test to find my cerulean and ocean bay babes."

A third user posted: "I took the colour personality test and I've never felt so exposed about my type."
