BTS Group, based in Needham Market, received a call from a worried resident in Rickinghall, whose cat was stuck up a tree.

After two failed rescue attempts by a window cleaner and a tree surgeon, owner, Francis Hull, was referred to BTS.

Senior contracts manager, Brian Dow, tracked down the nearest members of staff equipped with a hoist for such a rescue.

Craig Hawes and Joe Ward rescued Molly the cat, who had been stuck up the tree for more than 24 hours.

Once at the scene, it didn’t take long for Craig to rescue the pet, much to the relief of a grateful Mrs Hull who described the rescuers as “lovely young men”.

After the ordeal, Molly was said to be recovering from her experience in front of the fire.
