A woman was taken to hospital after fire crews were called to a house fire in Newbourne this morning
Fire crews went to an address on Ipswich Road at 9.27am after reports of a house fire with one person unable to leave the property.
Two appliances from Princes Street and one appliance from Ipswich East were sent.
When crews arrived there was a fire on the ground floor and the premises was empty.
The crews used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to fight the fire.
A female was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment for suspected smoke inhalation.
The incident was under control by 10.24am, and all crews were back at base by 11.23am.
