FIRE fighters were scrambled after a car ploughed into a petrol pump at a filling station off the A14.
The fire service said a 50-year-old male lost control of his vehicle at BP’s Thousand Guineas Filling Station at Newmarket Heath near Newmarket around 1.45pm.
The fire service was scrambled amid concerns of exposed electric wires near petrol.
But the scene was made safe by 2.17pm.
